so. i am growing up and getting ready to switch to my own hosting. i got some cheap hosting at site5.com (thanks jason) but am on the fence about switching blogging software. wordpress is pretty easy to use but trying to import from blogger has been kind of disastrous so far. i’ll try again, but it’s not working as of yet. i hear moveable type is hard to install and is useful mainly b/c you can run multiple blog pages on one site whereas wordpress gives you one blog page and then several static pages. i haven’t tried the new blogger yet, but maybe it’s better. thoughts? i found this post useful, and there are zillions more out there i’m sure.

the new blogger is really good. it has many of the best features of wordpress or movable type…
if you find either wordpress or mt hard to install then blogger is probably best for you.
thanks.
i tried to switch to the new blogger and it won’t let me because my blog is too big.
i’m running into a similar issue switching to wp actually i think. transferring all the comments and posts and photos is kind of nutty.
i think i’ll try again.
i know other folks who have had this same problem. at least one of them decided to just start anew with word press and maintain their previous blogger as active so folks who truly cared to run inventory on their posts could dig thru the existing archive.
