Cutey Kim last night during Matt & Kim’s set. That was nice. I got 2 more fillings and had both the upper and lower jaw numbed. 2 shots in my gums. yuck. Today I woke up at the crack of dawn to go to the gym and eat breakfast. It got late and I ended up just eating. Then I took my ride over to trackstar where it’s being turned into a hot rod steed today. i’m so excited i can barely contain myself. yaaaaaay. then tonight i’m noshing at sammy’s and i can’t wait. num num num.

DRILLIN’ FOR GOLD IN MY MOUTH WITH NO ANAESTHETIC.

(pic of free blood) Yeah so yesterday I got my mouth drilled on the top and bottom molars and I got ceramic fillings. On the upper teeth I had to get a shot–a freaking needle in the gums—and on the lower teeth they did that shit with no anaesthetic. holy shit. it was way deep. i have to go back for 2 more fillings today.
so to feel better after this smell-of-burning-drilled-tooth-jaw-open-for-an-hour-straight business i ride down through insane traffic from the upper east side to the east village where the very nice kids at trackstar gave my bike some serious love. little did i know, but it’s a full service bike shop even if you don’t ride a fixed. after brad described my brake situation as a death trap, i’ve decided to take the plunge and put on straight handlebars. plus, they replaced a brake cable and a nut on my brakes. god i love it when bike shops tinker with your bike and do everything nice they can think of. it’s like taking your bike to the spa or something.

6:30 pm sharp.
Circle Line Cruises, 42nd St and the West Side Highway.
$free, BYO feasties and drinks.
RSVP: 718. 930. 4768, events@actiondirection.org

Yarrr mateys. Come dressed in your pirate best and storm The Beast! - a high velocity jet boat speed ride that normally only sees its share of landlubbing families from out of town. We will be storming the beast and telling pirate jokes while we whisk up and down the Hudson, terrifying tourists and chanting along to classic rock music on the high seas. We will feast on jelly worms, oranges (to prevent scurvy), pirate birthday cake for the Captain of the Pirate Brigade and anything else your pirate heart desires. The boast ride is guaranteed to be the funnest, stupidest half-hour you will spend all week. YOU MUST RSVP FOR A TICKET! We only have 14 tickets left (from 25) to hand out, and only those in Pirate garb get a ticket, one per person. (Tickets normally cost $17.) Hi ho, hi ho, its off to sea we go!

THRASH AND BURN WEEKEND

goddamn. japanther was so awesome. SO awesome.
Spent nine and a half hours in a parking lot in LIC at the todd p show. Thanks for putting it together todd p! it was a behemoth effort. Japanther, Matt & Kim, Parts & Labor, Big A Little a, Afrirampo, Free Blood (with members of !!!) and all the other rad bands who played were totally fantastic. The show was so long and intense that I took all sunday to recover. One highlight of the show was watching the incredible hulking black label bicycle club do security. they totally regulated on the fuckers who were crushing japanther and running all over their little stage during their set. good show.
