Madonna. THE MADONNA. She fucking turned before I could get the shot, so this is what we will have to settle for. Oh Madonna, let me be your lucky star. This is probably the closest I will ever get. However, she DID make eye contact with me TWICE. She’s my new bestie.

bloc party, one of the best bands around, playing the motherfucker party. amazing how a shit crowd can ruin an amazing band’s performance. i believe some costumed 18 yr olds had started “oi-ing” at this point. the band and dj’s were fucking slammin’. still, the show they played at Making Time in Philly was truly an unearthly experience (it was also a D4D event!).
so here’s a little background. see those pics of josh and dave spinning below? yeah? well i left that party at 3:30am, got home at 4 something and stayed up till 5am with those hoodlums only to wake up at 6:30am and ride fifteen miles from east williamsburg to central park in the 90’s and then back down to 14th st. damn. fuck the wburg bridge and it’s fucking bumps. note the puppy in the foreground. smaller than a mid-sized dog’s poo.

short recap (so you’ll come back for the pics)–friday: rojo opening at stay gold, then JAMES IHA spinning at lit. he totally brushed my arm like 6 times. saturday: polish food in greenpoint, ’sup mag release party in bk, dave p spinning at tribeca grand, everybody slept at our apt. full house. not much sleep. sunday: woke up after exactly 1 and 1/2 hrs sleep and rode from east williamsburg to northern central park(15 miles-ish) to ride throught the gates. then rode back down to 14th st and had brunch in bk. baby shower at 3, slept much of the day, went to see bloc party at the motherfucker party. yesterday got a cute dress and heels from beacon’s closet and got fabulous with MADONNA at diane von furstenburg’s studio.
